COURSES & CLASSES
At Maximus, we endeavour to provide an environment that suits you and your dog, so our 'courses' are for you to work with our licenced Canine Conditioning Academy Coach on a 1-2-1 basis. 'Classes' will be group coaching with between 4 and 6 dogs in each canine class and 4 to10 in each handlers' fitness class. (A minimum of 4 is required before a class becomes viable.)
To ensure your dog gets the best service possible, it is a requirement to have a full physical assessment before undertaking any Maximus courses or classes.
This is a 90 minute 1-2-1 session with you and your dog. It involves your dog undergoing gait analysis and a number of dynamic and static exercises. We also measure muscle mass to gauge any imbalances.
Would you take on a physical challenge without ensuring you were fit first? Foundation Fitness is not only for the dog, but we offer a separate class for you too!
The Canine Conditioning Academy Coach at Maximus Dogs takes an holistic approach using scientific based research to assess your dog and create a fitness programme to ensure they can work and play happily with reduced risk of injury.
Once you have a foundation of canine conditioning, you and your dog can apply to join Canine Circuits. Our circuit training classes are designed to improve you and your dog's coordination, speed endurance and fitness level. Our skilled trainers support you and your dog in a range of exercises.

Maximus is dedicated to improving the relationship between dogs and their handlers through strength and conditioning training. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping dogs and their owners achieve their full potential. We strive to create a supportive and positive environment for all of our clients.
We have various routes for you to take, whether it be conditioning for just your dog or for you both! You can try out our circuit classes, after improving your Foundation Fitness, or progress though the conditioning classes. However, the journey begins with your canine partner undertaking a physical assessment and measuring session.*
* We require veterinary consent and a completed canine registration form, before commencing.
